Hobbs, Lyndal "Click", 86, Fancy Farm, KY, February 24, 2014  Survivors include his two sons:  Phillip Hobbs and Stanley Hobbs, both of Fancy Farm; three daughters:  Vicki Riley, Cathy Dunevant, both of Fancy Farm, and Gayle Willett of Salem, WV; a sister, Teresa Stroer of Paducah; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Hobbs; parents, Ewing Francis and Marguerite Burkett Hobbs; two brothers; five sisters, grandson, Barry Bohannon; and two great-grandchildren:  Kendra Byassee and Stephen Sanderson.

Willett, William Thomas "Bill", 85, St. John Community, February 15, 2014  Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Hayden Willett; daughters, Lisa Kay McGuire of Knoxville, TN and Lori Ann Gardner of Hopkinsville, KY; a son, Kevin Ray Willett of Maryville, TN; brothers:  Sam Willett of Murray and Charles L. Willett of Mayfield; sisters:  Nora "Sue" Tacoma of Louisville, KY and Dora Willett of Riverside, CA; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wilferd and Estella Catherine Cash Willett, three brothers and one sister.

Willett, Ann Toon, 94, Fancy Farm, KY, February 8, 2014  She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Sue Wilson, Becca Higdon and Joyce Hayden, all of Fancy Farm, and Nancy Towery of Mayfield; three sons, Tommy Willett and Donnie Willett, both of Fancy Farm, Sam Willett of Mayfield; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Willett; one daughter, Anna Bell Willett; one son, Bob Willett; two grandchildren, two sisters and five brothers.  Her parents were Ernest B. and Mary Ann Weitlauf Toon.

Bell, Maria Katherine, 60, Mayfield, KY, February 4, 2014  She is survived by one son, Michael Johnson of Fancy Farm; one daughter, Jennifer Harper of Kevil, KY; two sisters, Lois Bell of Paducah and Susie Thompson of Cunningham; three brothers, Del Curtsinger of Marina CA, Donald Curtsinger of Steele, MO and David Curtsinger of Paducah; one aunt, Hazel Curtsinger of Fancy Farm; and six grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearle Curtsinger, one brother, Richard Curtsinger; and one granddaughter, Mia Johnson.

Toon, Oneita, 87, Fancy Farm, KY, January 27, 2014  Survivors include one son, Lyndal Toon of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Louse Bazzell and Janie Ringo, both of Fancy Farm; two sisters, Dot Murphy of Fancy Farm and Liz Norton of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Toon; one daughter, Elaine Ann Toon; one brother; and two sisters.  Her parents were Lloyd and Veatrice Hodge Hayden.

Spalding, Joseph Earl, 88, Fancy Farm, KY, January 24, 2014  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marietta Overstreet Spalding; two daughters, Deborah Jo Spalding Bushermohle of Knoxville, TN and Margaret Dean Spalding Neel of King George, VA; four granddaughters, Christine, Stacy, Amanda and Amy; sister, Carolyn Ann Ramsey of Murray, KY; brother, James Conrad Spalding of Fancy Farm, KY.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin John Spalding and Mary Helen Roberts Spalding; his older brother, William Carl Spalding and two younger sisters, Mary Hazel Spalding Hayden and Marjorie Dean Spalding.

Hoffman, Frances Pauline Murphy, 91, Cincinnati, OH, December 21, 2013  She was formerly from Fancy Farm, KY.  She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Blymeier and the late Wayne E. Hoffman.  She is survey by one son, Wayne Hoffman of Mason, OH; two sisters, Mary Eileen Hargrove of Sedalia and Mary Ruth Hobbs of Fancy Farm; one brother, Thomas Ernest Murphy of Mayfield; one niece, Jeanette Harms of Hickory; and one great-nephew, Jonathan Harms of Mayfield.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Murphy, Bernard Murphy and William Murphy.

Toon, Thomas Eugene "Gene", 79, Fancy Farm, KY, December 15, 2013  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Delores Hobbs Toon; and one sister, Carolyn Sullivan of Fancy Farm; as well as eight sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law; and many special nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Augusta Toon and his only child, Kurt Thomas Toon; and two brothers, Paul and Billy Toon.

Cash, Martha Sue, 77, Surprise, AZ, formerly of Louisville, September 19, 2013  She was the former Martha Sue Holland, born to the late William and Blondell "Bupper" Holland in Water Valley, KY.  Survivors include her sons, Anthony Cash and Barry Cash; grandchildren, Dylan and Patrick Cash; sisters and brothers, Joseph Holland, Jean Fenwick, Bill Holland, Wanda House, David Holland, Nancy Pruitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert C. Cash.

Hayes, Rev. Martin E., 53, died suddenly on July 10, 2012 at St. Martins Church Rectory.  Preceded in death by his father Thomas Hayes and a brother Tom Hayes.  He is survived by his Mother - Patricia Kern Hayes, four brothers and four sisters.  He attended St. Thomas College in St. Paul, MN, St. Pius X Seminary, Erlanger, and Mt. St. Mary's Seminary, Emmitsburg, MD and ordained by Bishop John McGrath on June 2, 1984.  He was a State Friar of the Knights of the Knights of Columbus.  Fr. Hayes has been Associate Pastor at Blessed Mother Parish, Sts Joseph and Paul Parishes in Owensboro, Pastor at St. Edward, Fulton, Sacred Heart, Hickman, St. Jude, Clinton, St. William and St. Lawrence, Knottsville, St. Paul, Leitchfield, St. Elizabeth's, Clarkson and St. Martin Parish, Rome, KY.

Elder, John Edward, 49, July 5, 2012, San Diego, CA.  John is survived by his wife, Helen Elder of San Diego; three siblings:  Bill Elder of Murray, Thomas Elder of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Elizabeth Carrico of Metamora, IL; aunts:  Mary Ann McDaniel of Mayfield, Nancy Glover of Calvert City, Dianne Elder of Fancy Farm and Mary Elder of Sharp; uncles:  Joey Elder and Jimmy Elder, both of Fancy Farm; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Stephen and Roseanne Rowland Elder, grandparents John and Ruth Ballard Elder and Anna Lee Courtney Elder.  A memorial service was held at St. Jerome on August 18th.

Carrico, Sister Lennora, 96, Mount St. Joseph, Maple Mount, KY, May 4, 2012.  She was an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph and was in her 74th year of religious life.  She was a native of Fancy Farm.  As an educator for 34 years, she taught on grade school, high school and college levels along with ministering to inmates in prison in Eddyville, KY.  She served as a Hospice volunteer and ministered at the Motherhouse upon her retirement.  Survivors include two sisters, Anna Elliott, Fancy Farm; and Dot Willett, Calvert City; one brother, Bob Carrico and his wife Barbara, Cincinnati; a sister-in-law, Helen French, Fancy Farm; nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.

Cash, Lucille, 95, Fancy Farm, KY, January 4, 2012.  She is survived by five sons, James R. Cash, Eugene Cash, Ken Cash, all of Fancy Farm, Norman Cash of Lexington, and Eddie Cash of Dallas; four daughters, Mary Virginia Cash of White Plains, MD, MIldred Nelson of Mobile, AL, Rose Marie Sledd of Decatur, IL, and Mary Etta Watts of Danville, IL; 24 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James Phillip and Millie Russell Hayden; her husband, Allard Cash; one brother; and one sister.

Willett, Mary "Jeanne", 76, Louisville, KY, formerly of Fancy Farm, KY, April 3, 2012.  She had 25 years of service to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and was a retired teacher, having taught in several Catholic schools including schools in Louisville and Owensboro.  She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Louisville.  She is survived by four brothers, Thomas E. Willett of Memphis, TN, Jospeh L. Willett of Mayfield, Ken Willett of Birmingham, AL, and the Rev. David Willett of Fancy Farm; three sisters, Judy Johnson of Johnston, IO, Mary Ann Voglewede of Rockville, MD, and Carol Speed of Fancy Farm; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister.  Her parents were Joseph H. and Mary E. Mills Willett.

Byrne, Sister Elaine, OSU, Maple Mount, KY, January 20, 2012 - Sister Elaine Byrne, 65, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died January 20, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 47th year of religious life.  She was a native of Curdsville.  Sister Elain was pastoral associate at St. Francis DeSales (1989-92) and St. Thomas More (2006-07), both in Paducah, at St. Mary in LaCenter (1988-94), St. Charles, Bardwell (1988-89) and St. Jerome, Fancy Farm (2009-2011).  She ministered elsewhere in Kentucky and Missouri.  Survivors include two sisters, Margie Rode of Whiteland, IN, and Mary Lou Payne of Philpot; three brothers, JL Byrne, Tony Byrne and Eddie Byrne; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Byrne, all of Owensboro; nieces and nephews and the members of her religious community.  The funeral Mass will be at 10:30AM Tuesday, January 24, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Monday at 4PM, with a wake service following at 6:30PM.  Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, Owensboro, is in charge of arrangements.  Gifts in memory of Sister Elaine may take the form of donations of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, 8001 Cummings Road, Maple Mount, KY 42356.

Hobbs, Robert L, "Bob", 78, Louisville, KY, July 16, 2011 - He was born in Fancy Farm, KY on June 7, 1933 to Everett Hobbs and Iva Toon Hobbs.  He was an Army Veteran and Catholic by faith.  A long time member of St. Basil's and recently of Mary, Queen of Peace Church in Louisville.  He is a retiree from Ford Motor Co. in 1992 with 26 years of service.  He worked part-time at Superior Van Co after retiring.  He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Curtis, Bill, Earl and Ed; a sister, Mary Ella (Mae) Carrico.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Verna Jean Wilson Hobbs, his son, Kevin Hobbs (Lisa) and four grandsons; a daughter, Kimberly Hobbs; one sister, Lucille Robinette, two brothers, Dewey and Tom Hobbs; a great number of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.  The funeral was held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a military Army tribute playing bagpipes.

Frasier, Anna Ruth, 63, Paducah, KY, September 19, 2011 - She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Ann Jones of Benton, KY and Deana Jean Nichols (fiance Nathan Buckman) of Mayfield, KY; two sons, Tommy Allen Frasier of Madisonville, KY and Richard Glenn Frasier of Owensboro, KY; four sisters, Dean Scott of Slaughters, KY, Deloris Pool of Madisonville, KY, Sue Prow of Indiana and Jerry Cothran of Tennessee; one brother, Carroll Tyson of Hanson, KY; seven grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by an infant sister and her parents, Cellous and Ruth Tyson.

Hadyen, Louise Ballard, 79, Waterford, MI (formerly of Fancy Farm, KY), September 20, 2011 - She is survived by her children, Carol St. Dennis, Glenn Hayden of Fancy Farm, Lori Whetstone, Micahel Hayden and Jennifer Joens; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Orene Hoffman and Donna Thomas; and brothers, Ray Ballard and David Ballard.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Albert Hayden; parents, Thomas O. and Lillie J. Ballard; two sisters and four brothers.

Pendel, Michael Eugene, 51, Fancy Farm, KY November 1, 2011 - He is survived by his wife, Penny Kunkle Pendel; three sons, Dustan and Hunter Pendel, both of Fancy Farm, and Garrett Pendel of Bowling Green; one daughter Whitney Hayden of Fancy Farm; his parents, John and Rose Hobbs Pendel of Fancy Farm; two sisters, Janet Elliott of Fancy Farm and Sherry Gargus of Sedalia; one brother, Andy Pendel of Fancy Farm; and one granddaughter, Hadley Beth Hayden.  He was preceded in death by grandparents Ewing and Marguerite Hobbs and Adolf Pendel; and one granddaughter.

Foss, Jeananne, 78, Fancy Farm, KY, November 2, 2011 - She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Foss of Bowling Green and Cathy Stratton of Louisville; her sons, John Foss of Port Townsend, Washington, and Leonard Foss, Jr. of Fancy Farm; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Foss.

Harlow, Sister May Gemma, 92, a native of Harrodsburg, KY, died at Nazareth Home on November 25, 2011 - She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 71 years.  Sister served in the apostolate of education as teacher, principal and supervisor in Kentucky and Tennessee for 44 years.  In the Diocesed of Owensboro Sister taught at Fancy Farm Grade School (St. Jerome Parish) from 1942-43 and again from 1950-57; at St. Joseph Grade School, Bowling Green, KY from 1957-61; and served as principal of Holy Name Grade School, Henderson, KY from 1961-62.  Survivors include a nice, Barbara Kincaid of Lexington, KY, cousisns and her religious community.

Mills, Micahel E., 65, Fancy Farm, KY, December 1, 2011 - He was at Owensboro Place Nursing and Rehanbilitation Center in Owensboro.  He is survived by four sisters, Mary Lou Thompson, Martha Jane Harris and Joyce Wilson, all of Fancy Farm, Helen Thomas of Bardwell; two brothers, Will Ed Mills and Bert Mills, both of Fancy Farm; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Lillian Henrietta Higdon Mills; two brothers and two sisters.

Bishop, Adeline, 80, Fancy Farm, KY January 27, 2011 She is survived by three daughters, Ellen Williams and Joan Tallen of Fancy Farm and Rita Suiter of Mayfield; a son, Roger Bishop of Fancy Farm; a sister, Mary Clava Lee of Mayfield; a brother, Charles "Code" Rowe of Fancy Farm; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bishop, and her parents, John Simon and Gertrude Bridgett Thompson Rowe.
